Antisexual Personality Disorder Theory

What is a psychology theorist?  A psychology theorist defines a psychology theory, a mode of understanding human behavior.  Early psychology theorists include William James, Sigmund Freud, and Carl Jung.  William James said around the turn of the 20th Century, that within all humans exists an antisexual instinct.  Sigmund Freud explored many areas of dysfunctional relationships including earliest childhood experiences and those between a child and adult, significantly a parent or guardian.  Carl Jung utilized archetypes, role models that visually represent relationships with ourselves and the universe, such as the angel, warrior, mystic, etc.

I have taken this foundation within the field of psychology and defined Antisexual Personality Disorder.  A personality disorder, like Antisocial Personality Disorder, Borderline Personality Disorder, etc., are holistic ways of see the entire personality as it is affected by the particular effect.  So, for Antisexual Personality Disorder, the whole of a personality may be affected by dysfunctional relationships such that a person's expression becomes violent and antisexual.  Manifestations of Antisexual Personality Disorder include but are not limited to rape, domestic violence, gun violence, homophobia, heterophobia, substance abuse, eating disorders, sexual harassment, child molestation, sexual abuse, verbal abuse, emotional abuse, money or financial abuse, terrorism, sexually transmitted disease, abortion/fertility issues, prostitution and more.  All in all, it is negative sexual energy that has not found a peaceful outlet.

Now, just because you or someone you know may have lived through one of the above experiences doesn't mean anything is wrong with you or them, or people are antisexual, and all that.   It just means that in cases like these, there was a dysfunctional relationship, where humans were not communicating in a healthy way.

If you would like to understand more, please feel free to read the online theory, and email me anytime with any questions or comments you have.  It's complicated.  Please know this is a theory, which means it is my perspective.  I am an artist, a writer and painter.  My paintings in the book are the archetypes for my theory.  I am not a licensed or practicing psychologist at this time.

Antisexual Personality Disorder Theory

The way to break free of Antisexual Personality Disorder is to create a world where violence no longer exists by channeling that negative sexual energy into a peaceful, non-violent outlet.  The best way is through art, sports, talking, charity work, community service, love, intimacy, and prayer and meditation.  Sometimes war happens, when people disagree.  War can be resolved through awareness, dialogue, change and energy transformation.  It takes a desire to be peaceful and make a difference.

Jodi began painting as a form of art therapy and the images presented in the Antisexual Personality Disorder theory are used as examples of the disorder.  They can also be seen as archetypes of violence and can help people understand the theory on a visual level.  To Jodi, violence is a closed system and a violent personality can be diagnosed and treated when properly identified.  Then perhaps, psychology professionals can begin to help prevent violence before it is committed and join Jodi in her mission to create a world where violence no longer exists.  To cure violence within is to create peace in the world.

Antisexual Personality Disorder theory is for Mature readers.  Please email Jodi Leib with any questions you have at talkitout (at) jodileib.com.
